The Fear of Love

The Fear of Love

By: Karina Huerta

A blank face with more questions and no lies
A stranger afraid of danger with a Dimond in his eyes
A cast out a rebel scared of love and demise
Define him as a boy within his smile, a disguise
He turns away each time he laughs, scared Im gonna see what's gonna make him crack
8 letters of three words got his feelings jacked
Now he's looking down, realized, he's under attack
A heart relinquished from feeling a need
Too many times has he felt defeat
Emotions overruling in flash of summer heat
Getting bruises from the muses of her inner means
Late night thoughts got him fighting his dreams
Emotions with devotions of a love that can not be seen.
The staring that was sharing what he really sees
A silence in glass with feelings that don't seem to cease
If only he thought up what he truly believes
